Wah-Keat Lee

Group Leader, Full-Field X-ray Imaging Beamline, NEXT Project

Dr. Wah-Keat Lee joins us from Argonne National Laboratory. At Argonne, Dr. Lee was responsible for planning and beamline design activities such as the conversion of APS 32-ID COMCAT to imaging beamline, the APS upgrade proposal for a long wide-field imaging beamline, and the NSLSII proposal to build a full-field imaging beamline.

Dr. Lee has over 20 years experience with synchrotron x-ray science, including beamline planning & design, construction, R&D, scientific leadership, building user communities and operations.

As the group leader, he will work closely with the user community to define the scientific mission and technical requirements to design and build a state-of-the-art x-ray full-field imaging and microscopy beamline and its associated scientific programs at NSLS-II.
