Alexey Suvorov

Inelastic X-ray Scattering Beamline Physicist

Alexey Suvorov joined the NSLS-II project in March 2011 as an X-ray Optics scientist. He is a member of the Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IXS) group. His primary role is in the development of X-ray optics for an ultrahigh energy and momentum resolution IXS spectrometer at the 10ID Beamline.

Dr. Suvorov earned his Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Institute of Microelectronics Technology of Russian Academy of Sciences (IMT RAS) in 1993. He has more than 20 years of experience in theoretical, experimental and numerical studies of X-ray optics for microscopy and high energy resolution applications at synchrotron radiation facilities. More than 15 years of his research career was spent in the Optics Groups at the state-of-the-art ESRF and SPring-8 synchrotron facilities.
