Technical Associate II, Diagnostics and Instrumentation, NSLS-II Accelerator Systems Division
Marshall joined NSLS-II on December 14, 2009 and will report to Om Singh, group leader, Diagnostics and Instrumentation. In his new role, Marshall’s responsibilities include calibration, testing, installation and assisting in the commissioning of NSLS-II facility beam instrumentation, as well as maintaining quality and test logs of all instrumentation systems. He will also build and repair electronic equipment from schematic drawings, and assemble chassis using mechanical fabrication techniques using standard test procedures.
Prior to his employment at Brookhaven, Marshall worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems in Melville where he was a member of the AN/SPQ-9B RADAR program hardware engineering team to produce X-Band, Pulse-Doppler RADAR systems for the US Navy and Coast Guard. He also spent six years in the U.S. Navy as a radar technician on the U.S.S. McFaul.
