Power Supply Design Engineer, NSLS-II Accelerator Systems Division
Prior to joining NSLS-II, David Bergman worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and NASA, both located in Maryland. He has over 20 years of experience and his areas of expertise include design engineering and metrology.
David attained his MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD and his BSEE degree (Cum Laude), from the University of Maryland.
Reporting directly to George Ganetis in the Electrical Engineering Group of the Accelerator Division, David’s responsibilities include the design of the main dipole power supply for the storage ring. He will be designing systems which will be used to maintain the accuracy of all power supplies used in NSLS II. David's experience at NIST will prove invaluable for the latter assignment.
