Assistant Research Professor
Lars Ehm holds a joint position with the National Synchrotron Light Source and the Mineral Physics Institute at Stony Brook University. His research interests lie in the field of structural characterization of materials at extreme environmental conditions in order to determine structure-property relationships. He uses primary X-ray diffraction and X-ray total scattering techniques to study changes in the atomic structure. The main variables to induce structural changes used in Lars research are high pressure and temperature.
