NSLS-II Project Controls Manager
Cathleen Lavelle is the Project Controls Manager for the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) Project. She has responsibility for implementing all Project Controls functions on NSLS-II including project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and Earned Value Management analysis and reporting.
Cathleen has been with Brookhaven National Laboratory since 1994, working on several key BNL projects including Center for Functional Nanomaterials, BGRR Decommissioning, HFBR Transition Project and the International Nuclear Safety Project as a Project Controls Supervisor. Prior to coming to BNL, Cathleen worked for EG&G as the Cost Performance Manager for the Superconducting Supercollider and held positions of increasing responsibility in Project Controls for Lockheed Martin, Honeywell and Northrop on various major DOD contracts.
Cathleen has a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York and an M.B.A. from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
