NSLS-II Technical Support Lead, Accelerator Systems Division
Frank Lincoln is the lead person of the Mechanical Technical Support Group for the Mechanical Engineering Group in the Accelerator Systems Division of NSLS-II.
Frank has worked in the field for over 25 years. In 1988, he joined Brookhaven National Laboratory and worked at the NSLS on beam line X-5, Laser Electron Gamma Source (LEGS), for the Physics Department. At LEGS, Frank designed, built and maintained the experimental systems associated with the project. Some of his work at LEGS included cryogenics, electronics, vacuum, procurement, designing (Auto Cad) and manufacturing.
Frank was awarded the President’s (USA) Gold Medal for Volunteer Service in 2007 for his many years as Scout Master of Troop 47 and his work as Engineering Mentor for the Patchogue-Medford High School’s F.I.R.S.T. robot building team.
Frank received his Associates Degree from Suffolk County Community College, Selden, New York in Mechanical Technology. He also has a certification from National Tooling and Machining Association, Farmingdale, New York in Drafting and Machining. In 1977, Frank’s dedication to scouting earned him the Eagle Scout award.
