Diane Hatton

Chief Operating Officer and Business Division Director

Diane Hatton is the Chief Operating Officer and Business Division Director for the Photon Sciences Directorate. She has responsibility for the oversight of the $912-million NSLS-II project budget and the $37-million NSLS operations budget. She also manages the business operations staff, which specialize in project controls, procurement, budgeting, information technology, human resources and facilities management functions.

Hatton has been with Brookhaven National Laboratory since 1983, holding various positions in the area of administration and finance, including Department Administrator for the Chemistry Department, Head of the Budget Group at the National Synchrotron Light Source and, most recently, Project Support Division Director on the NSLS-II Project.

Hatton has a B.S. in Business Administration from Long Island University and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University.
