Electrical Engineer – Safety Systems, Electrical Engineering Group, NSLS-II Accelerator Systems
Scott joined NSLS-II on January 1st and will report to George Ganetis. Prior to his transfer to the project, Scott was the Chief Electrical Engineer for the NSLS, responsible for the supervision of the accelerator division’s electrical engineering staff, project planning, review, budgeting and safe operation of electrical systems in the NSLS complex.
Scott holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the New York Institute of Technology and a masters in Management Technology from Polytechnic University and is a member of the Instrument Society of America.
Reporting to George Ganetis, Scott will focus primarily on the design, implementation and construction of personnel and equipment protection systems as well as gaining operating approvals for those safety systems at NSLS-II. He will also direct the work of engineers, designers and technical staff as required.
